We must be off our trolley!

No problem is terminal although it comes close when Heathrow Terminal 5 is left without a conveyor system for a few hours.  They quickly find themselves with 10,000 suitcases to deal with and no storage solution.

Plan-it Interiors were approached to come up with a solution to this problem. Seeing as a) we love a challenge and b) we love the opportunity to think outside the box, we were delighted to help.

And so we came up with this innovative trolley system.  The trolley is wheeled to the broken conveyor belt, the suitcases are loaded on and then taken away to a storage area.

After coming up with the idea we designed the trolley, had them manufactured in South Africa and installed in Heathrow T5.  That was 625 trolleys, each weighing a quarter of a ton!  Now the other terminals at Heathrow are considering installing the same system.
